What a great Saturday with the youth today! We had 15 youth to play badminton and we had quite a few UMass students helping with a nutrition trivia game about fast food.
I also want to take this opportunity to share that thanks to some incoming funding from generous donors at UMass and in the Worcester Public Schools, we are able to sustain our youth program. As a result, Courtney Temple has agreed to be our new Youth Program Coordinator for WRAP! She is copied here, so please feel free to use her as a resource if you are interested in getting more involved with the youth program. Upcoming events to be aware of (and they should be on the google calendar as well!): 3/29/14: American football led by Dave 4/5/14: Yogathon sponsored by Ivy Child International at Boys and Girls Club 4/12/14: Art workshop led by Dani 4/19/14: Nutrition Bowl and volleyball 4/26/14: Wall climbing at the Central Rock Gym 5/4/14: EPIC indoor soccer tournament Please let us know if you are able to help out on any of these days! We need drivers especially on 4/5/14 to bring kids to and from the Yogathon.

Another great week with the WRAP youth this week! Jen led an awesome session on vitamins and we played a friendly game of volleyball. We presented WalMart gift cards to seven of the youth for their recent achievement on the Honor Roll in the Worcester Public Schools. We began soccer practice for the U18 boys to participate in the EPIC soccer tournament at Elm Park School.
