Community Resource Connector Program

In collaboration with the Case Management Elective at the UMass Chan Medical School, the goal of the Community Resource Connector (CRC) program is to connect UMass Chan students trained in case management through the Worcester Free Care Collaborative with WRAP community members and accompany them as they navigate the complex systems required to meet their refugee health and human service needs. Services the CRC provides include but are not limited to:

  • Work

  • Communication with Mass Hire

  • Communication with Unemployment

  • Payroll issues

  • Help finding apartments 

  • Help finding a good phone plan

Filling out forms for:

  • Social Security

  • Health Insurance 

  • SNAP

  • Green Card Applications

  • Department of Motor Vehicles (Drivers licenses, Permits, etc.)

  • School

Integration services:

  • Communication with Mass Hire

  • Communication with Unemployment

  • Payroll issues

  • Help finding apartments 

  • Help finding a good phone plan

Additional Services we can connect refugees to:

  • Connecting to community legal aid

  • Connecting with Physicians and clinics

  • Connecting to clothing and food drives

  • Connecting to University-based ESL classes
